How to get ready for moving day
- Declutter first. Separate what you’re keeping, donating and getting rid of.
- Tell us what’s going early. The sooner we know, the better we can plan the job.
- Box up the small stuff and label by room. “Kitchen”, “bedroom”, “garage” makes the unload easier.
- Empty wardrobes and drawers. Furniture travels lighter and safer empty.
- Keep valuables with you. Laptops, phones, jewellery, cash and important documents.
Parking and access: sort it first
- Check the parking at both ends. If your street needs a visitor permit or a bay suspension, that’s arranged through the council.
- Find the nearest place a van can stop. Tell us where it is.
- Measure the awkward pieces. Check the stairwell too.
- Check the lift. Some blocks let you reserve it or want the concierge told.

Yes please. Furniture travels lighter and safer empty, and boxes are much easier to carry than a full chest of drawers.
What if I’m getting rid of some things?
We can clear what you’re not taking. Wherever practical, suitable items go to reuse, recycling and recovery.
